Mi Vida en USA

When the American dream comes with fine print

A personal blog where a Spaniard from the provinces tells, unfiltered, his life emigrating to the United States: the memories, the culture shocks and the fine print of the American dream. A long-read editorial project with a loyal community that comes back for every new installment.

The heart of the project is the text: long, personal posts people read start to finish. We had to deliver a flawless reading experience on mobile, low load times despite the volume of content, and clear navigation across chapters and topics.

We developed a custom WordPress focused on readability: typography and spacing built for long reads, per-post covers, navigation by topic and chapter, and image/cache optimization so it loads fast on any connection. Hosted and maintained on our infrastructure.

What we built

01

Long-read experience optimized for mobile

02

Chapter and topic navigation for an ever-growing archive

03

Performance and caching tuned despite the content volume

Clásicos Básicos

The living museum of classic gaming in Spanish

Why it works

A living retro community built around the content: a shelf-by-shelf catalog of games and films, an integrated podcast and its own forum (Foro CLABA) where members come back every day.

Real client

“It's not just a website, it's the club we always wanted. The game shelves are amazing and the forum runs beautifully. The community feels it's theirs, and that's something you can't buy: you build it right.”

Broken UFO

An intelligence archive on the unexplained. Less smoke, more sources.

Why it works

It went from idea to a go-to outlet: a visual identity no one else in the genre has, sub-second load times despite the cinematic animations, and a reader base that comes back every week through briefings, the newsletter and Telegram.

Real client

“We wanted something that didn't look like 'just another UFO website' and they delivered an intelligence unit. Every detail, from the scroll to the files, conveys exactly who we are. The result went well beyond the brief.”

Why it works

The magazine launched with an editorial identity you recognize on the first scroll: retro covers, bold typography and a category architecture that drives one read into the next.

Real client

“We write killer reviews and we needed a website to match. They nailed the tone: irreverent on the outside, flawless underneath. Publishing is a pleasure and readers stick around for three more articles.”
