Web design in Princeton, Illinois

We build and look after business websites for companies across Bureau, LaSalle, Putnam and Marshall counties — from an office on Elm Place, not from a call centre. A custom site runs $2,000–$4,500 to build and $59 a month to keep secure, backed up and up to date.

Three kinds of site, and what each one costs

The ranges are the same ones on our pricing page, which also lists the extras, what moves the number and what we never charge for. Where a project lands inside a range depends mostly on how many distinct page designs there are and how much of the content you already have written.

Business website

$2K–$4.5K
3–5 weeks

Five to ten pages, contact form, maps, the phone number where people can see it. What most local businesses actually need.

Online store

$4.5K–$9K
5–8 weeks

Products, payments, shipping and tax. Built so you can add a product without calling anyone.

Membership or community

$8K–$20K
6–10 weeks

Accounts, member areas, events, bookings — a site that does something, not just one that says something.

Why hire somebody in Princeton instead of a template

We are actually here

Our US office is at 500 Elm Pl, Princeton, IL 61356. You can call +1 (815) 454-5977 and get somebody in Illinois, not a ticket queue three time zones away.

Built, not assembled

No page-builder plugin stack that breaks on its own two years from now. The site is built to be maintained, and we are the ones maintaining it.

Looked after every month

Updates, backups, malware scanning and a firewall in front. That is the part nobody sells you and the part that decides whether the site is still up in year three.

Findable by your neighbours

Structured data, a real Google-readable address, page speed and titles written for the searches people around here actually type.

Two of those five people are the founders: David Abellán runs the engineering and Ignacio Pineda the business side. You can see who all of us are, and how a project actually runs, week by week. Nearest to home: United Protection Agency in Chicago and Tombatossals Softworks, a studio here in Princeton.

Somebody has to look after it

A website is not furniture. It runs on software that gets security patches every month, and it sits on the open internet where anything with a keyboard can knock on the door. This is what we do about that, and what it costs.

Essential $59/month For a site that already does its job and just has to stay standing.
Growth $139/month For a site that moves with the business: hours, services, offers, staff.
Complete $259/month For businesses that actually publish: news, campaigns, new pages every month.

On our own infrastructure, not on a shelf somewhere

Sites we build run on servers we manage, behind Cloudflare, with a firewall, DDoS filtering at the edge, daily off-site backups and malware scanning. Hosting is part of the care plan, so there is no second bill and nobody to point at when something breaks.

How the hosting works

Where our Illinois clients are

Four counties, most of them inside forty minutes of the office. If you are further out, that is fine too — half our work is remote — but this is where we can be at your counter on a Tuesday morning.

Bureau County

Princeton, Spring Valley, DePue, Walnut, Buda, Tiskilwa, Wyanet

LaSalle County

Ottawa, Peru, LaSalle, Streator, Mendota, Marseilles, Oglesby

Putnam County

Hennepin, Granville, Standard, McNabb, Magnolia

Marshall County

Lacon, Henry, Wenona, Toluca, Varna

Two local programs worth knowing about

Ten Bureau County businesses a year get the build itself at no cost. Local non-profits get twelve months free.

Questions we get asked on the phone

How much does a website cost in Bureau County?

A custom business website is $2,000–$4,500 to build, plus $59 a month to look after it. A store runs $4.5K–$9K. Those are the same numbers we publish everywhere else on this site — there is no local markup and no local discount hidden behind a call.

Do you work with businesses outside Princeton?

Yes. Most of our Illinois clients are within about forty minutes: Bureau, LaSalle, Putnam and Marshall counties, plus Peoria and the Illinois Valley. We also work remotely with clients in six other countries, so distance is not the constraint — being reachable is, and we are.

What does the monthly fee actually pay for?

Hosting, security updates, off-site backups, malware scanning, uptime monitoring and a set number of content changes a year, depending on the plan. It starts at $59 a month. A site with nobody maintaining it is not cheaper — it is just unmaintained until the day it matters.

Who owns the website?

You do. On the local program the site becomes yours outright at month 12, and we hand over the files and the domain if you ever want to move it somewhere else. We do not hold a site hostage to keep a client.

Do I have to know anything about computers?

No. Most of our local clients run a farm, a shop or a practice, not an IT department. We ask what your business does and who you want to reach; the technical decisions are our job, and we explain the ones that cost you money in plain words before we make them.

How long does it take?

A business website is typically 3–5 weeks from the first call to launch; a store, 5–8. The part that decides the date is usually how fast we get your text and photos, and we will tell you that up front rather than after.
